ONOFFON's "The
Gift Must Always Move"
from our Surrender Now CD (1997) was
nominated as 2005 Song of the Year by
the UNSIGNED Music
Magazine.
This was their first annual awards -
to be nominated was a great honor!
Here's the latest review of
ONOFFON's new CD, Bridge to Presage,
from the International Online Music Magazine
(I usually post the intro
- but here I'm posting the conclusion)
"Ladies
and gentleman may I have your attention please?....
I'd like to propose a toast to ONOFFON for their wonderful performance
this evening that. I'm sure all of you will agree was one of the
best that we
have had the pleasure to feast our ears upon in many many years.
...(audience
uproar in applause...speaker smiles and waits for several minutes
for the audience to die down so that he may continue)...
'And might I
also add that this group has far surpassed their reputable
status of excellence in previous performances?
...(audience
uproar in applause) - (Speaker to the band)...
'I for one have
considered this to be a memorable occasion, and due
to the fact that our mouths will still be ajar for the next two
weeks,
we would all love to see you perform what we have just been a
part of
a thousand times over and, as you can see Dear Sirs, we are in
a state
of anxiously premature anticipation for your next album.
...(audience
absolutely freaks out in a unique whistling capacity like
the sound of multiple freight trains in one yard at the same time)...
'We wish you
all of the best and we thank you endlessly for coming
here tonight. Raise your glasses! Cheers to ONOFFON
...(Standing
ovation for five minutes that even the janitors (who abandon
their duties for the night to listen to the show) participate
in."
