The Early Years
With the advent
of such technological advancements as the Hubble
telescope, we are gaining a greater understanding of the creation
of
solar systems, galaxies, and, yes, even the universe itself. With
this new
found knowledge we can now begin to comprehend the celestial
events that led to the inevitable origins of ONOFFON.
Since the earliest
recorded time, and even before, there
have been countless signs foretelling its arrival. The true
harmonic essence of ONOFFON has resonated across time and
space and interdimensional barriers to be heralded time and
time again, .. generation after generation .. age after age ..
eon after eon .. time immemorium ..
The spirit of ONOFFON
has continually sought
that delicate opposing balance within all of existence -
striving for enlightenment and harmonic purity through
consonant dissonance, atonal tonality, and chordal dischord -
the essence of life itself - adhering to physical and
spiritual planes of reality.
And, now, as if
in fulfillment of some ancient prophesy, the legacy of
ONOFFON has been passed down to one remarkable group of musicians.
They possess the innate ability to balance the duel demands of
technical
excellence with the less tangible quality of an intrinsic feeling
for the
music they perform. Bassist
Von Babasin and drummer
Dave Goode have
welded their talents into powerful rhythmic foundations on which
guitarist
Don Lake's melodic structures rest. They have effectively redefined
the
lost art of capturing live energy on tape so that their recordings
are as
compelling as their live performances.
